What is Dalgona coffee you ask? Well, I’ll let my good friend Wikipedia answer that question.
Dalgona coffee is a beverage made by whipping equal proportions of instant coffee powder, sugar, and hot water until it becomes creamy and then adding it to cold or hot milk. Occasionally, it is topped with coffee powder, cocoa, crumbled biscuits, or honey. Thanks, Wiki!!
I HAD to try this lovely sounding concoction out for myself because it’s all the rage right now, and also for the mere fact that coffee is my homie. I‘d like to think that I have my coffee addiction under control, however, I can’t go a day without it. Straightens shoulders and holds head high. I guess it could be worse though, huh? Anyway, let’s get to the main event!
Dalgona Coffee
serves 2
2 T hot water
2 T instant coffee
2 T cane sugar
Milk of choice
Ice
2 Glasses
*this can also be served with steamed milk. 86 the ice for a hot beverage.
Put all ingredients into a mixing bowl and whip with a handheld mixer until fluffy.
Add milk, I used almond, and ice to a glass, then top it off with the coffee fluff. (I guess I just gave it my own name)
Give it a quick stir before drinking.
