Celery Juice Is The New Craze

Updated: Jun 10, 2020

A little over a year ago I discovered a few people on Instagram who truly cared about their health and the health of their respective families. That’s something I’ve become quite passionate about as well so I quietly followed them and hung onto each and every post they shared for valuable information.

One of the first things I noticed about these Instagram moms was they had one thing in common. They drank celery juice! I then discovered the root of why celery juice is so important and who came up with this whole idea of drinking this bright green juice. His name is Anthony William, The Medical Medium.

*There‘s a fun kid activity at the end of this post...so keep reading;)

Needless to say, I jumped on the bandwagon right then and there and haven’t looked back. Here are just a few of the benefits of drinking 16 ounces of straight celery juice daily, on an empty stomach:

• Clearer skin

• Improved digestion

• Less bloating

• Better mental clarity

• Weight loss

• Sustained energy

In my case, I suffered from acid reflux from years of drinking soda and eating horribly. Drinking celery juice the correct way, and on a consistent basis, can be a powerful and healing remedy for all types of acute and chronic illnesses such as:

•Hashimoto’s thyroiditis

•Eczema

•Psoriasis

•Acne

•SIBO

•Constipation

•Chronic fatigue syndrome

•Blood sugar issues

•Migraines

•Acid reflux

•High blood pressure

•Addictions

•Adrenal issues

•Gout

•Allergies

•Autoimmune conditions

•And countless others

I know it sounds crazy, but I do juice an entire stalk of celery each morning and wait about 30 minutes to eat breakfast. Usually, I'm getting myself ready for the day while sipping on my juice. By the time I’m finished with my makeup, my glass of celery juice is empty and I’m ready to eat breakfast. If I ever skip a day of juicing I can really tell. My stomach feels bloated and uncomfortable.

If you're like like I am and strive to lead a healthier life, changing even one thing in your diet can truly make a difference. The one thing I stick to is drinking my celery juice In the morning.

I urge you to check out Anthony‘s book called Medical Medium Celery Juice if you want more in-depth details and reasons why this pretty little herb can benefit you too. I hope you love it as much as I do.

*NOTE* slow masticating juicers are better for keeping the most nutrients in your juice. But any juicer is acceptable.

With as much celery as I use, I’ve decided to have some fun with the bottoms of the celery stalks this summer. This is a fun garden-science experiment you and your kids or grandkids will love.

SPROUTING & GROWING CELERY

Cut the bottom off your celery stalk and place it in a bowl of water.

Set your container in a sunny spot inside your home. A windowsill is a great place, however, I also have a shallow bowl with several stalks in it sitting on my kitchen island.

It’ll take about a week or so for the leaves to emerge. I change the water or add more each day.

How to make this a learning experiment.

• Take photos of your celery each day for a look at how it progresses. Or, have your children draw pictures of what they are noticing.

• Measure your plant height.

• Explain the reason your stalk is in water and not planted directly in soil yet. It‘s because the plant needs roots, then you can transplant it outside in your garden or in a pot to harvest when it’s mature.

Remember to water your plant every day, and use a natural fertilizer such as used coffee grounds for success.

When you harvest your celery either make juice or slather a stick with peanut butter and dot with raisins! Yum!

Have fun, be creative, and enjoy your kiddos this summer!

XO,

Noël
